What Should You Do as the Next President?

Dear Mr. Prabowo,

Our names are Indah and Pristina. We would like to ask you some questions since we know that you are one of the nominees of Indonesia’s Next Presidents.

As we know that Indonesia is going to have a democracy party on April 9 2014. Every citizen has the right to choose their own choice for a leader. There are many president candidates that are willing to be presidents and you are one of them.

If you really are willing to be the next President of Indonesia, then we have some questions for you.

Us, as Indonesian citizens surely want a leader who can develop Indonesia and make Indonesia as a better country.

1.  In your opinion, are you really sure to be the next president of Indonesia 2014-2019 that is going to be chose by the citizens through the election?

According to political observer from University of Indonesia, Andrinof Chaniago predicted that the amount of citizens who don’t take the right to vote their leader will increase.
“The amount of citizens who don’t take the right to vote can increase from 35 up to 40 percent.” said Andrinof when he was contacted by Kompas.

We think that this might be the proof that Indonesian citizens don’t care about the future of Indonesia. Do you think you can be the next president of Indonesia in this condition?

And then our next question is:

2.  What is the first thing that you will do when you become the president of Indonesia?

We know that being the president of Indonesia with 240 million citizens and many islands can’t be easy. To us, it’s very hard to just be a leader in the classroom. If being a leader in a classroom is hard, how about ruling millions of citizens from many tribes and cultures? We can’t imagine it, it must be really hard. It’s a big challenge.

We want the next president of Indonesia to not take the wrong step in every of his action and duty. The next president of Indonesia should be sure and aware of all the risks from his deed. We really want to have Indonesia developed. Just like Japan and Singapore. If Japan and Singapore can be developed then Indonesia should be able to be developed too!

The third question:

3.Can you assure that when you become the next President of Indonesia, Indonesia will be free from corruption?

It's pathetic to see and hear the legendary and phenomenal news on the television until very recently. Whenever there is a new hot topic, it must be about corruption. Corruption news has been the trending topic of Indonesia. Indonesia must be lead by a leader who has a strong faith and iman. Corruption is a shameful act. Verily, corruption disadvantage not only oneself, but every citizen of Indonesia. If the next leader is a corruptor, what will happen to the future of Indonesia? One can't be a president of the country, if he can't even be a president to himself. A leader must be firm and be a role model to the citizens.

It's an honor for us as students, if you can answer our 3 questions.
Because we hope that Indonesia will have a deserving President to lead Indonesia. So that one day, Indonesia can be a developed country.

Thank You.

Sincerely,
Pristina and Indah.

How patient are you?

Want to know how patient are you? Try this questionnaire! :)

1. You're queuing on a long line for lunch, suddenly someone decided to not line up and just stand in front of you. What will you do?
a. You scream at her telling her to line up from the back.
b. You let her go in front of you, maybe she's really hungry.
c. You ask her why she does that and if she's really hungry, you'd let her but if she's just too lazy to line up you'd ask her to line up from the back.

2. Your friend asks you to accompany her to the teacher's office. You accompany her. After a long time of waiting, she's still in the teacher's office. Would would you do?
a. Wait for her but you're not going to wait for her this long again next time she asked you.
b. Wait for her because maybe she'll do it for you too.
c. Leave her because she's taking forever.

3. When your phone loads very slow, what will you do?
a. Curse at the phone and shout at it.
b. Leave the phone and do something else
c. Wait for it patiently to finish loading.

4. You're really tired and you have bunch of homeworks. What would you do?
a. Get some rest and tell the teacher you didn't do the homework because you're really tired and promise to do it later.
b. Leave the homework and get some rest.
c. Do the homework no matter how tired you are because it's your responsibility as a student.

5. You're having flu and your nose itches and your friend keeps on talking you. What would you do?
a. Talk to her until she finished talking because maybe it's important.Explain to her that you can't talk
b. Explain to her that you can't talk
c. Shout at her and leave her alone.

Result:

1] a. 0 b. 4 c. 2
2] a. 2 b. 4 c. 0
3] a. 0 b. 2 c. 4
4] a. 2 b. 0 c. 4
5] a. 4 b. 2 c. 0

Less than 8: You're not the type of person who likes to wait. You are on the lowest level on the patience-o-meter. You really need to be patience in some conditions because if you're not, you could hurt people's feeling.

8-13: You're quite patient. You tend to tell people that you are not the most patient person in the world in the nicest way possible. But be careful, some people might think differently when you tell them that you can't wait/be patient.

More than 13: Wow! You are very patient! You are able to control yourself even if people disturb you. You'd even put people's needs in front of yours. That's good, but remember to think of yourself too!

The Blessing in a Buzz! (part 2)

This is an English project about honey and bees stuff, I'm doing it with this friend of mine: Zahra but there was some chaos and so we decided to draw it on a piece of paper, without the help of Photoshop. I didn't have time to scan it so I took a picture of it.
[this is the second poster]
I hope Miss Mirza accepts it.
What do you think? Leave a comment below! :)

The Blessing in a Buzz!

The Future Under Foolishness.

Greetings! In this post, Zahra and I are going to talk about the future predictions. Just a reminder that this is just an English Task that Ms. Mierza gave. Scroll down and take a look at our predictions about the future. Enjoy! J
In the next 20 years there will be lots and lots of changes happening to the earth. The technology will take over the world and enslave mankind. We might be careless to the nature around us and misuse the natural resources.

1.Trashes will be exported to the moon.
Due to the excessive amount of trashes that humans produce, the earth will not have enough space for the trash because buildings are also taking so many lands. So, trashes will be packed and sent to the moon which will create a great bad impact.

2.Animals and plants will extinct.
There are lots of endangered animals that people hunt nowadays. This can cause the extinction of these animals and it will harm the ecosystem. Some plants, more specifically trees are one of the most important and beneficial plant to the livings. If trees are gone, the livings life will be ruined.

3. Humans are likely to be fatter.
Robots will do everything for us. We aren’t likely to actually want good body figure anymore since people are starting to lose their interest in impressing others in real life anymore. Humans will then become more attached to social networking and the unreal life.

4. Junk food might be everyone's daily meal.
Since mothers and grandmothers won’t be concentrated in the social life anymore, they will start buying fast foods or tell their robots to cook the food which they will believe is the best for their children.
“It is the fastest way for them to get fed.” –Future mothers & future grandmothers

5. Robots will probably replace maids.
Since robots will be incredibly cheap in the coming years, maids will lose their jobs because people will tend to use robots. Robots also have more energy and will do the job faster than maids so people will rent or buy robots instead of maids.

And these are the predictions we think might happen. Whether it'll happen or not, only Allah knows :)

Job Interview Tips

Fapizza Lorenza
Career Consultant
Everyone, for sure, is going to have a job. And there is always an interview if you want to apply for a job. They say job interviews are 'scary' and 'thrilling'. But not to worry! We've got some tips for you job seekers to face your interviews.
ps. This is just for an English task not the real tips you can rely on hehe :)
1. Prepare yourself.  You should prepare yourself from the days before the interviewing day. You might not be called for an interview if you are not accepted in a company but we should prepare an umbrella before it's raining right? :)
2. Don't panic. You ought not to be panic because if you panic, you'll forget everything that you have prepared and in the end you'll just embarrass yourself. So you'd better relax and pray that everything will go well.
3. Behave well. You'd better behave well if you want to get good impressions from the interviewer and to convince the interviewer. Behavior is one of the most important thing in an interview and for the job later in the future.

4. Be confident. You should be confident for your interview. Because if you're not confident during the interview, it'll be awkward for you and for the interviewer. Also, the result won't be maximal if you're not confident.
5. Do the best! You really should do your best on this! This is your golden moment to show your best. If you try to do your best insyaAllah it'll give the best result. It doesn't matter if you're accepted or not. The most important thing is you did your best!

I hope these tips will help you through your interviews and Goodluck!! :D

Job Application Letter

Hello readers! It's been a while since I actually write on my blog bc my personal blog was deleted *le cry* for no reason idk, So I just wrote a Job Application Letter for my English Assignment. I really enjoy writing this application letter because I feel like I'm actually applying for a job as a journalist. My wildest dream that is, being a journalist. Writing this letter and imagining to be a news-caster and a journalist is such a great fun to me. Favorite task for English so far. Massive thanks to my beloved English teacher Ms. Mierza!! Now let's just start reading my Job Application Letter and hope you enjoy reading it!

Dear Mr. Michael Wazowski,

I'm writing to apply for a journalism position in your company. I am really interested to be part of your team.
Currently, I am working for TVOne as a news-caster on Apa Kabar Indonesia Pagi as well as a solo-journalist for my own website which you can see at http://pristinanews.com. I record, write and edit the news that I have posted on my blog by myself. My news blog has approximately 1000 viewers a day. I am also an editor and a writer at http://dailydoseofnews.com/ which is the most visited news website in 12 countries.

I have been a journalist for 5 years since I earned bachelor degree in Journalism at Monash University. I am also a journalist for the campus magazine and website. I got the Journalist of 2011 award in my campus.

I am able to work in a team or work alone and I am very willing to work hard. I am also a very discipline worker. I am a punctual worker and I will most likely do my work on time.

The reason why I am really interested to work in your company as a Journalist is because I am now looking for an international environment.

I am available for interviews at anytime in the future.
Thank you in advance for your attention as I look forward to your response.

Sincerily yours,
